Ashok Gehlot’s Statement On Congress President Election And Leaving Rajasthan CM Post Ann

Congress Presidential Election: Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot has also joined the race to become the next president of Congress. Ashok Gehlot said in a special conversation with ABP News that, “There is every possibility that I should file nomination for the post of President. Tomorrow I am going to celebrate Rahul Gandhi for the last time. In response to the allegations, it has been decided that this time there will be no president from the Gandhi family.” On Shashi Tharoor contesting the elections, the Rajasthan CM said that whoever wants to contest the elections can fight.

On whether you are ready to leave the post of CM and come to Delhi, Ashok Gehlot said, “It is absolutely wrong to say that Gehlot does not want to leave the post of Chief Minister. I will do whatever Sonia Gandhi says, but it is an election.” It is not necessary that there should be one person-one post. Still, if the leadership says that the chief minister’s post is to be given to someone else, then whatever they decide will be valid.

What did Ashok Gehlot say on Sachin Pilot?

On the question of making anyone other than Sachin Pilot, the Rajasthan CM said, “I will not comment on this. This leadership will decide and it will also be seen who the MLAs want.” Let us tell you that Ashok Gehlot met Congress interim President Sonia Gandhi in Delhi today. Earlier, he had a meeting with the legislature party on the previous day. The CM had told the MLAs that he would try to persuade Rahul Gandhi to become the president of the party for one last time. If he does not agree, then I will file nomination.

There was a stir over the election

It is worth noting that the stir about the election of the Congress President is intensifying. Senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor can also contest the elections. At the same time, Digvijay Singh, the former CM of Madhya Pradesh, has neither denied nor agreed to the question of contesting the elections. In such a situation, there is a possibility that many more names may also appear to contest the election for the post of Congress President. Notification for Congress President Election will be issued tomorrow i.e. on 22nd September. In case of more than one candidate, the election will be held on October 17 and the counting of votes will take place on October 19.
