Mahoba Lampi Virus: After wreaking havoc in Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab and Uttarakhand, the lumpi virus has now reached Bundelkhand via western Uttar Pradesh. Now the symptoms of this virus have also been seen in the cow of Mahoba district. After the information of the villagers, the vaccination campaign of animals has been started in the area while quarantining the infected cow. Taking the matter seriously, the District Magistrate came to inspect the village. He has deployed 32 teams in the district for the vaccination campaign.
Drug spraying is also necessary
In Supa village of Charkhari tehsil of the district, Mahoba DM Manoj Kumar took stock of the condition of cows suffering from Lumpi virus disease in Supa Mandi on the information of Lumpi virus in the cow by the villagers. He directed the Veterinary Officer to conduct a campaign to vaccinate the cows in every village as well as to spray the medicine and get the vaccination done within a radius of 5 km.
Don’t delay in giving information
He said that in the villages, inform the villagers about the lumpy virus by beating the diggy. If cows suffering from lumpi disease are found in any village, then inform immediately. So that by keeping those cows in a safe zone, other cows can be saved from this disease.
Talking to reporters, District Magistrate Manoj Kumar said that the cow suffering from lumpi disease should be treated by wearing PP kit and spraying the medicine regularly. So far 30,000 cows have been vaccinated in the district. The remaining cows are being vaccinated by running a campaign in the village. DM Manoj Kumar says that instructions have been given to vaccinate two thousand cows of the village. At the same time, the team of Animal Husbandry Department has also reached the village regarding vaccination and is engaged in vaccinating the cows on a war footing.
