Supreme Court Live Streaming: In the meeting of all the judges of the Supreme Court on Tuesday, it has been decided that from Tuesday, September 27, the live telecast of the cases of the Constitution Bench will be started. The decision was taken in a meeting convened by Chief Justice of India (CJI) UU Lalit on Tuesday evening. According to the information received, this decision was taken unanimously. With this, it will soon be possible to watch the ongoing hearing in the Supreme Court live. Live streaming will start with the cases going on in the Constitution Bench. Later it will be started for other cases also.
There was live streaming of a case in 2018
In 2018 while deciding a case, the Supreme Court had agreed to start live streaming of its hearings. Then the registry of the court was asked to make arrangements related to it. During the Corona period, the Supreme Court started hearing through video conferencing, but it was not broadcast live to the common people. Now this is going to happen after 4 years of the court order.

Initially this broadcast will be done on YouTube. Later, the Supreme Court will also start its web service for this. Earlier on August 26, the Supreme Court had live telecast the proceedings of the ceremonial bench to bid farewell to the then Chief Justice NV Ramana. Now there will be live streaming of the hearing of the Constitution Bench on an experimental basis. Later it can be extended to other cases also.
EWS case is being heard
At present, a 5-judge Constitution Bench headed by Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Uday Umesh Lalit, is hearing the petitions filed against the 10 percent reservation for the poor from the general category. After this, this bench has to hear the petition against the reservation given to the entire Muslim community in Andhra Pradesh by declaring them as backward classes.
When will the case be heard
Apart from this, a constitution bench will also sit under the chairmanship of Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul from September 27. The bench will first hear the petitions challenging the system of All India Bar Examination before the enrollment of lawyers. After this, on September 28, the bench will hear the matter whether the Supreme Court has the right to annul (i.e. divorce) a marriage directly on its behalf? Or should he hear the appeal only after the decision of the lower court?
