UP Rain: Rain has come as havoc in many districts of Uttar Pradesh. Flood situation has arisen in many districts of the state. In view of this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday conducted an aerial survey of the flood affected areas in the state. CM Yogi has instructed all the district magistrates to give a detailed report of the flood relief works.
A spokesman of the state government said that the Chief Minister conducted an aerial survey of Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Ayodhya, Gonda and Barabanki affected by the floods of Saryu river and directed to conduct relief work expeditiously in the affected areas. Yogi Adityanath Said that the distribution of assistance should be done expeditiously to the people affected in the loss of life and animal loss due to floods. Along with this, distribution of packets of flood relief material should also be done at the earliest.
These instructions were given to the DMs of all the districts
According to the spokesperson, the Chief Minister has also directed the District Magistrates of the flood-affected districts to provide detailed reports of the relief works being carried out in the affected villages. According to him, 41 villages of Gorakhpur, 24 of Gonda, 19 of Barabanki, 12 of Basti and one village each in Ayodhya and Sant Kabir Nagar are affected by the floods of Saryu river.

According to the information received from the Relief Commissioner’s office, at present more than 200 villages of more than a dozen districts including Azamgarh, Gorakhpur, Barabanki, Gonda, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sant Kabir Nagar and Sitapur are affected by the floods. A population of about two lakhs has been affected by the inundation. A total of 23 teams of NDRF and SDRF and 17 teams of PAC have been deployed for flood relief in the state.
Know in which districts schools are closed?
Kanpur- In compliance with the instructions given by District Magistrate Visakh ji, in view of the heavy rains, today 23.09.2022 is declared a holiday in the government and non-government schools run by all the boards from class 1 to 12 in Kanpur city.
Firozabad – Due to rain, there will be a holiday of schools till 8th on 23.9.22. This information has been given by BSA Anjali Agarwal.
Agra- Two days holiday declared in schools in Tajnagri. BSA ordered to keep the schools from nursery to class eight closed. The decision was taken due to heavy rain and waterlogging in Tajnagri. A holiday has been declared from 23 to 24 September. On the approval of the District Magistrate, the District Basic Education Officer has given orders. Government secondary and non-government aided secondary schools will also remain closed on 23 24.
Aligarh- It has been raining continuously for the last two days in Aligarh, due to which water logging has been done everywhere. The whole city is full of water. The condition is that even the movement of people has become difficult. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rain for the next two days, in view of which a holiday has been declared in all the schools in the district on 23 and 24 September. District Basic Education Officer has given information about this.
Etawah- Schools will remain closed from 22 to 24 September in view of the rain alert. Now schools will open in Etawah directly on 26th i.e. on Monday.
