Delhi Now NDMC Will Fix Faulty Street Lights In Just 24 Hours Preparing To Adopt New Technology

Delhi News: The Public Works Department ie PWD is going to take important steps towards eliminating the dark spots on the roads of Delhi. Under this, preparations are being made to do geo-tagging of street lights and repair them in 24 hours if they are damaged. The Public Works Department is working towards creating a centralized software to geotag all street lights on its roads and track their functioning. Department officials said that when a street light stops working, the software will also inform the officials so that it can be rectified soon.

This would be the advantage of connecting with software

Under the scheme, all street lights and electric poles will be identified and geo-tagged. The location of street light poles will also be linked with the software, so that the engineers will get an instant notification. This experiment has been quite successful in some parts of NDMC. Now it has to be seen how soon the street lights will be rectified with this experiment.
